
QUALITY CONTROL
Every egg we deliver is subjected to stringent selection and manual and mechanized hygiene treatment.
Besides batch sampling, we imprint a different serial number on every egg at the same time to facilitate quality tracking.
This quality tracking system enables us to trace the production date, class, brand etc of a particular egg. Through the quality tracking system, we can tell the ins and outs of our eggs and monitor our retailers’ inventory control.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
As a responsible corporate citizen, we exercise stringent quality control on every step of the production—from our healthy way of chicken rearing to packaging to delivery. This is to ensure consistent egg quality throughout the chain. SHH takes out 3 eggs everyday from each batch for sample testing. The 3 eggs will be tested on the first day, the 7th and the 14th day respectively, the tests of which include protein concentration, egg yolk length, egg yolk colour, shell thickness, shell hardness and egg freshness. We do stringent tests on each batch of eggs with cutting-edge instruments to ascertain the stability and health quality of our eggs.

R&D INITIATIVES
The principle of ZERO_ANTIBIOTIC lies in the fact that we replace antibiotics with herbs, and rear our chickens with harmless herbs and a special healthcare approach to give 100% zero-antibiotic eggs.
As a responsible corporate citizen, SHH attaches great importance to the quality of the eggs it produces, because they are supposed to bring health benefits to consumers. We would like our consumers to eat healthy. SHH is the first corporation in Malaysia that produces zero-antibiotic eggs and DHA eggs. We started the ‘zero-antibiotic egg’ initiative in 2008, as a joint effort with China Beijing Agriculture Technology Development Co. Ltd. After 4 years of R&D, we have become the only enterprise in Malaysia to produce zero-antibiotic eggs. The initiative was approved by the Malaysian Veterinary Department and certified by Penang state government as well as her veterinary department as ‘the only eggs certified 100% zero-antibiotic by the veterinary department in Malaysia’. SHH was the only Malaysian enterprise to launch DHA-containing eggs in 1999, under the brand of DHA GOLD. This initiative was researched upon and launched for the sole market need for healthy eating. The brand is one of our top quality labels.
